Maple Syrup - Tapping the Trees

We loaded up our sap buckets and lids into a trailer and brought them back to the woods. My dad and Paul Seese went around and drilled holes into the maple trees using gas powered drills. Back before power tools, they used brace and bit drills to drill the holes in the trees. I helped by tapping the spiles into the drilled holes, and my sisters and mom followed behind and hung buckets and lids. In total we put out 738 buckets.
