Old Syrup Pans
We purchased the new pans up north about 65 miles from us. It was a day trip and it took four guys to load up everything. Back home we took out our old syrup pans and before we could put the new ones in, we built the arch up so the fire would be forced to go up into the flues on the new pan. We used cinder blocks, metal racking, and insulating blanket. We set the pans down on the arch and piped them together to be used this season.
Ready for 100 more years of syrup making!
