Today we got hit with freezing rain. Didn't get much done today as everything was covered in ice. Later in the afternoon, we got regular rain and the ice began to melt away. My dad and I went back to the woods and dumped the slushy rain water out of 50 buckets that did not have lids on them. It was done raining for the most part, but the trees were still having water drip off them and into the buckets. I came up to the farm and got 50 old lids and brought them back and we went around and put them on the buckets. I fed my cows some ears of corn and then fed them a bunch of hay from the round bale I had cut open. After dinner, I went out and fixed the fire for the night and put 30 pieces of wood on it.
I was glad it warmed up and the ice went away.
