Weed-Wacking And Mowing More Grass

This morning I went up to the farm and checked on the cows. It started out a nice sunny day, so I opened up the barn doors upstairs and downstairs to let the fresh air through. I fed the cows a couple bales of hay and I fed Margie her scoop of grain. I did some small tasks at the farm while dad went back to the woods and worked on cleaning up sticks and getting a fire going. I aired up the tire on the old sap wagon and emptied the water that was in it. I unhooked it from the 584 and put the tractor away because there are possible pop up showers now. I then put the used oil from my car into a jug which we will use to lubricate our hay elevator or start fires. I then got my mud boots on and took the weed whip down to the pasture. I weed whipped any grass within 1 1/2 to 2 feet of the fence, so that it does not short out the electric and helps define where the pasture stops. After I got the pasture done, I came home and got on the bigger mower. I drove it up to the farm and began mowing the yard. I brought it back home and then used the smaller mower to cut the grass along the roadside. I brought some junk and the white strip of fencing (dad had finished taking down from the pasture fence) over to the dumpster days in Alto. Dad raked flat and seeded with grass seed the dirt where skids with firewood used to be. It started to sprinkle, so I shut up the barn doors for the night at the farm. Melanie and Paige stacked all the wood dad had dumped by the lean-to, so we can bring up more wood. I brought sunflower seeds over to Ellen so she could grow some new ones and make her own arrangements. It rained for a while and then was just cloudy for the rest of the night. I fed the cows a bunch of chaff and then I bedded them lightly with straw. I put 16 pieces of wood on the fire for the evening.
